Exploring Williamsburg and Greenpoint in Autumn
With the cooler weather upon us, autumn is all about branching out and finding new places to picnic, relax, and admire the city views. One great spot in Williamsburg is the East River Park, a seven-acre waterfront space that offers sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline. What was once a 19th century shipping dock has been transformed into a green space that is perfect for relaxing in the sun.
After a few hours of sunbathing and frisbee tossing, you might be ready for a little refreshment. Wander over to the best bar near East River Park - Kent Ale House, located at Kent Avenue and North 11th Street, and enjoy one of 27 craft beers on tap, as well as our classic pub menu. The outdoor sidewalk café has 50 seats with great Manhattan views that is perfect for a few beers at sunset.
Manhattan cyclists that are tired of all the traffic should venture over the Williamsburg Bridge onto Kent Avenue, which has its own bike path for safe cycling. You can enjoy designated bike lanes and quieter streets for an evening cycle. Kent Ale House is located 1.6 miles north of the Williamsburg Bridge.
Kent Ale House is across the street from Kent Avenue Park and near Bushwick Inlet Park, East River Park, Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Bowl, Wythe Hotel and Music Hall of Williamsburg. It's one of the best restaurants near the Brooklyn Brewery.
